Re: RC: Horse in a manger
Does he have enough room in the trailer? I have a set of bars front
and back in my Brenderup trailer. Thinking I was doing my guy a
favor, I had the back bar set almost up against him so he could, I
thought, lean back and forth against them. He would load, but reluc-
tantly, and his legs would be a little trembly sometimes when I un-
loaded him. I finally moved the bar in the rear back a notch. He
stopped being reluctant to load, and wasn't shakey legged! He is able
to spread his hind legs out more, making him more stable. I guess
they prefer NOT to lean against anything, as their instinct is to
keep on their feet on their own. Just a thought.
