Re: RC: Arab crosses

Hi Sue,

I personally had an excellent cross with an Arab/quarter. Not a
bulldog type, but a very long muscled mare. I am now raising Connemara
Arabian crosses who I think show lots of promise and the first two I
sold seems to be doing well. The Connemaras add great quality bone and
a calmer disposition, and in the old days in Ireland were used to go
great distances, often being ridden or pulling heavy loads. (35-50
miles in a day and then back again the next were reported often). They
have marvelous feet,in regular work do not have to be shod.(I would shoe
for endurance because of the rocky trails). Anyway, I love the babies
I have, a horse ranging in size from l4.2 to l5.l with sure-footedness
and beautiful low gaits. So as NOT to be "flamed" I will refrain on
crosses I don't feel work, but if interested, please e mail me
privately.Maureen
