I've had four endurance horses develop injured suspensories, and I kept
wondering what I was doing wrong. I finally figured out the common
denominator: I love a horse with a blazing fast trot. Each of these horses
either had, or developed a very fast trot, even though three of the four were
only 14.2 or 14.3 hands. The fast trot was achieved by tremendous reach,
thus hyper-extension leading to injured suspensories.
