Why is weight an issue...
I have to say it once again, if their were NO AWARDS for completing a
ride/race, weight would be no issue.
Ego is something best left at home, just bring a fit horse and the means
to care for him and I think alot of the sub-surface resentment and antagonism
evinced in this thread would just go away.
And then "TO FINISH IS TO WIN" would be more than just words put out in
the public eye.
Mileage tracked COULD be enough.
A horse doesn't know what kind of buckle secures his blanket,
anyway...just if he is warm when he needs to be.
