Yes, I agree with you. If there was no weight handicap then the light weight
would have an advantage if they were both riding a horse of the same weight.
I hear people saying to try and make this sport fair you would never end the
argument of trying to make it fair (if that made any sense ), so why have any
rule pertaining to weight. I know that there is a lot more to this than just
peoples weight and horses weight but for the sake of argument lets exclude
everything else. If the percentage of my weight and my horses weight were
the same as yours then one of us has a fair shot as getting best condition.
A true BC. Your horse may be capable of carrying more weight or mine. I
think it should be based on the partnership between horse and rider. If
there needs to be a rule at all.
