My thinking is that the booties themselves are the problem. They
cause the saddle and pad to move together. When I purchased my
Express lite. I removed the booties and bought a nice wool
back endurance pad. I love the saddle and have had no problems.
My mare is tiny 14'1 and not long in the body. Also, the quality
of the pad I bought was so much better than the bootie padding.
