Follow-up on suspensory injury

Some of you have asked for an update on our horse that was pulled for
lameness from the endurance ride last Saturday. We took him to the vet
yesterday for an ultrasound. An equine dentist was also meeting us
there so that the vet could tranquilize our horses for him. Well, Rocky
was tranquilized before the ultrasound, therefore the vet couldn't
perform a soundness test. Ultra sound showed no suspensory injury! We
took the horse back this morning for the soundness test and it was
discovered the horse has a sore right fetlock. He had stumbled during
the ride - probably just banged his leg on something. Two weeks' rest
and he should be good as new. Whew!
