Do equitothotics work in sand?
Hi all,
We recently moved and our new place is very dry and sandy,
we've never lived
in a real wet area but this level of dry sand is new. So I
hope I can tap the expertise
of those of you who know how to manage hoof care in dry
sand. I'm wondering if
sand working under the equithotics I want to try could be a
problem. Should some
kind of hoof pack/sealant be used under the shoes? or should
I stick to straight shoes?
I also think I need to start some regular hoof dressing for
the first time, any favorite
products for horses kept in sand, (even the "pastures" are
very dry and sandy.)
Thanks in advance,
Teresa Van Hove
