Hi Deb, nope.  Because in over 30 years of riding around here that was the 
first (and, please God) last one I've ever seen.  I think because the cat was 
holding still (his paws were up on the edge of the water trough), my horse 
didn't have any kind of "startle" response and was just puzzled by the big 
kitty.  A kind of funny side note is that three weeks later we were at an 
NATRC ride and some barn kitties ran out and under my horse as we were 
trotting by the barn -- now this time he did SPOOK big time, whomp, I landed 
on the pavement hard!  My friend that I was riding with tried to make me feel 
better by saying that only little kitties scared Harca -- would have been 
more effective if he hadn't been laughing so hard!  Truthfully, I'm more 
scared of all the rattlensakes (we have a lot) and in the wake of EL Nino 
(isn't everything El Nino's fault?) there seem to be more than usual and 
they're waking up now that Spring is here!!!!!!
