Re: RC: Diagnosis: Navicular

Question the vets...I have a gelding that was diagnosed with navicular.
Well, he doesn't have it. That was two years ago. Poor x-rays, poor
diagnosis and poor shoeing. Took me an entire year and over $1000 in
shoeing to correct ONE farrier's bad work. The vet was NOT an endurance
vet..in fact a QH vet..so was the farrier.

It is VERY rare for arabs to have navicular. Call the American Farriers
Association (in Lexington, KY) or Mitch Taylor at Kentucky Horseshoeing
school. Both can give you referrals to farrier that work with GOOD vets.

How old is your horse? Mine was 5 at the time..he is now 7 and just fine.
