Hi Jan,
We have a 20 mile section of "rail trail" that runs right through our
town. The trail is cinder with some crushed shale in places, for the
most part exceedingly good surfaces. Signs are posted all along it
that give equestrians right of way over walkers, and walkers right of
way over cyclists. We both ride and drive horses over it and have
found it a great asset to the equestrian community.
