pulled muscle
Hi all (this is my last question I promise!).......My horse came up lame 2
weeks ago, had the vet come out and diagnosed a shoulder injury, possibly a
bicep muscle pull (hopefully), could be a tear or an injured bursa (lets hope
not!). I hand walked him and he got a little lamer (head bobbing) but lately
seems to be getting better. He has a small *dip* at the point of his
shoulder.....has anyone had this happen, maybe a muscle spasm of some sort??
My question is......I have a 25 mile ride on May 1st and would really like to
take my gelding, this would be his first race. I was planning on taking it
slow anyway (around 5-6 hours). If my gelding seems sound, do you think it
would be wise to take him on this ride or would I be asking for trouble. I
think I might have a back up horse (thanks Lori!) but if at all possible I
would like to take my gelding! I have never had to deal with a muscle
pull........any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you very much!!!!
Johnna and MC (Team Slug, we start slow...than taper off!)
