Re: Need Advice on Situation (long)
In my experience stupid people (particularly those who lose their temper
and abuse their animals) mostly endanger those around them. Don't take
the chance, don't let her ride with you. I was a little slow to figure
out my own advice with some "friends", fortunately I *did* figure it out
before anyone was seriously hurt. I mean, every time we went on a ride
together *someone* came off a horse or a horse went down with a rider
because one of them would do something incredibly stupid. I (and my
horses) were very fortunate and I finally clued in and quit riding with
them. I used any excuse I needed to and only once had to directly
refuse. Personally, if I had it to do all over again, I'd be more
direct and tell them. But, I am equally sure that they'd never have
listened to me anyway. I guess I'd have felt better about it though.
