Yep, that's a lesson I learned the hard way! LOL Teddy
(http://www.runningbear.com) has some terrific rubber grips that she can
put on Biothane reins which makes them *really* easy to grip, even when
covered in slimy South Alabama clay mud.
The new super-flex isn't nearly as slippery as the traditional Biothane
reins, IMO.  I bought some of those from Teddy for a Christmas present for
a friend, and now I love "borrowing" them. :)
