endurance and equitrol?

The following question came up in a discussion concerning
endurance horses and the effect of wormers and fly control
products.

Anyone have any experience?

Does anyone have experience with the feed-through fly control 
product, equitrol (generic name: rabon)? I am
considering giving it to my horses, but thought I would get some
endurance-rider feedback. I know the strongid c product is not 
used by a lot of endurance people for some problems it has caused. 
I know several horse people who successfully use equitrol, but 
none with endurance horses.
