I was told that you shouldn't give a horse more than 2 pounds of beet pulp. I
have a friend who also has the diarrhea problem if she gives more than 2 lbs.
Is it safe to give as much as you say, 8 lbs? Have their been any studies on
this? I will do anything to get weight on him but I really don't want to go
on hearsay alone. I don't want to cause a problem by giving him to much of
anything. Is shredded better than pellets? I use shredded as that is what the
feed stores carry here. What is the equivalent of beet pulp to cob as far as
putting weight on? Pound wise.
