I have not tried these.  BUT, I have a new pair of Ariat lacers that I
think are GREAT!  Ridecamper's have
discussed Ariats a number of times and they sounded good.   They are
recognized as the best in riding boots. 
(I know,  some field boots and leather hunt boots cost several times as
much) Anyway, it just took a bargain 
price for me to try them.

I got these from Sportsman's Guide at a closeout price of $59.95.... 
Sizes smaller than men's size 9 are only $49.95.  They have lots of other
good buys on camping gear, boots and other clothing.
