Re: LD yet again
Why is it that if I say that a true endurance ride is 50
miles or more, so many people get bent out of shape?
According to AERC that is the definition of an endurance
ride -- 50 miles or more. That's why less than 50 miles is
called *Limited Distance*. It does not mean that those who
do LD (occasionally or all the time) are worth less or are
bad people. It just means that according to AERC a ride
less than 50 miles is not, by their definition, an endurance
ride. It seems to me that some people would like to change
this, and have LD in it's own category as an endurance
distance. I would rather they start their own organization
than try to change this one.

p.s. IMO -- the guest post about the rider wanting to race
the LD and take their dog along was a set up
