Subject: RC: LD's
Ok, all you experienced riders. Does this seem correct to you?
> So far though I have done 6 or 7 LD's and the placement to me was just

Previously, people have argued that LD is not a great indicator of a
horse's condition (or am I all wet? I seem to remember posts about
grabbing any old horse out of a pasture and being able to do LD.)
Seems to me placement is as much related to breed and individual
athletic ability as it is to conditioning. I could condition my Paso
Fino for the rest of her life and we still won't be 1st in an LD
(unless everyone else falls down a hole).
OTOH, I do agree that BC is a measure of good riding and good
conditioning.
Linnea and the Paso Pony - we love those Tail Ender awards.
