All of mine that have been hauled very much drink great in the trailer. As to
repiratory problems--it just depends on how dusty the trailer is, how
sensitive the horses are, and how they are tied and ride in the trailer. It's
still one of those things that you have to look at on a case by case basis. I
do make it a point to control dust if it is a problem by putting in shavings
and then gently spraying them with a hose if necessary. In trailers with
mangers, the mangers must be consistently cleaned to keep dust and mold from
old feed from accumulating.
