I don't like pain. I do everything I can reasonably do to avoid
self-inflicting it. To me that means learning to ride in a manner which
avoids damage to my body. I can't abrade my skin if I'm balanced, moving
with my horse, and not gripping at the knees.

I'm with Angie, I wear cotton leggings which I buy for $7 - $9 at the
local mall, and use suede half chaps. I have put hundreds of miles on
the leggings before they give out. I own several different brands of
riding tights (yes, I like the Kerrits also) but when I go to the closet
in the morning I find that I usually reach for the leggings for reasons
of comfort.
