Shoes and Pads

While we are discussing all the new types of shoes and pads-has anyone
looked into the weight and height factors?  How much added weight is a
Slypner with the base shoe and then the rubber piece on it?  What is the
weight of the Mustad shoe?  Does the increased height cause any gait
problems?  You add a considerable amount of material to the horse's foot
with some of these items-does that change angles in the foots?
