re: pulling back while tied (long)
Just a word of caution on tying up with a Be Nice halter. I know of 2
horses that were seriosly injured because of pulling back with one. The
first peeled a stip of hide off to the bone down its face about 3' wide
and a foot long. The second had permanent severe nerve damage and lost
the use of its lips. It looked like it had had a stroke. About a year
later it had regained some control but was never the same.
