Re: Rescue Remedy
One word of caution: horses, like humans, have different sensitivities. My
900 pound gelding's optimal dose seems to be 2 drops of Rescue Remedy on a
treat. If I give him 3 he can get a bit sluggish. So, I highly recommend
experimenting by starting with very low dosages and moving up as indicated.
I'd also recommend that you try Rescue Remedy BEFORE a race situation so you
know what to expect.
(And, I agree, give yourself a bit of it, too!)
This stuff has done wonders on my horse when he's getting to that 'oh, mom,
can't we just go faster? and, if not, I'll dance sideways down the trail'
mood.
The other point about the liquid Rescue Remedy versus the powder is that it
takes almost immediate effect, where the powders take from 30 minutes to
hours.
