Be careful when you use the word "mediocre".  I used it once about 15 years
ago in a letter defending the "winners" and top ten in a ride as opposed to
the finishers.  There was an ongoing debate in the EN letters section and
Trail Blazer for months afterwards.  I even got hate mail from an attorney in
Chicago who did what was called Muskrat Patrol and had never ridden an
endurance ride in his life.  When I used the word I was referring to the way I
rode back in the pack as opposed to top ten.  I wonder whatever every happened
to the Muskrat Man, as we called him.
