I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on the discrepancy
between what is recommended on the endurance site for starting a
horse in endurance and the 3 times weekly that has often been
advocated by ridecampers in preparation for a 25 miler. Are we
assuming that we are conditioning a horse who has never been started
in any other discipline or who has been on total rest for an extended
period of time? Most horses who are being used currently in
another discipline are already likely doing more than 3 days of
mainly walking each week. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Beth
