Re: riding attire for wide feet
Hi All!
I've got boat-feet, too. Actually, kinda handy when the snow is deep-
built in snowshoes! In a mans' shoe I need a EE. In a womens' shoe,
well, I can't usually find them. I have found that Men's Ariats fit fine.
I drop down about a size and a half (i.e., a woman's 9 = men's 7.5).
Mind you, the Ariat Performers fit nicer (and broke in quicker) than
the winter ones, so you might have to check different models. Men's
workboots might be an option, if you like the look of Ariat Performers.
For running type shoes, I get men's. For dress shoes, same. Haven't
been able to find pumps, yet though! (Redwing makes a great shoe,
and some of the women's styles will fit EE and even EEE, but remember
women's shoes also have a narrower heel!)
And, yup, even my cowboy boots are mens. But my Wranglers are
womens! (and who can tell with spandex, anyhow)
