"Enteritis" means inflamation of the intestinal tract.  ("Entero" means
intestinal--as in "enteric" bacteria and "enteroliths".)  Anterior means the
front part.  Hence, anterior enteritis means inflamation of the front part of
the intestinal tract, which is the small intestine.
