Re: Strongid C
<< >I'm assuming you are referring to the Daily Wormer...?>>
Yes, Strongid C IS the daily dewormer. The regular dewormer does not have the
"C" in the name.
<< >I have been using it for about a year now...

 >In fact, noticed that my "hard keepers" aren't quite as hard to "keep">>
If "hard keeping" is a result of chronic parasitism, then most certainly,
Strongid C is helpful.

<< >How much are your feeding every day?
 >Could these problems be dose related?>>
Horses I have dealt with that have had problems have all been on the dose
recommended by the manufacturer, as near as I could determine.

<<I think the more relevant question is: how many miles are you riding? I
 was feeding the normal dose.>>
I think Karen's response here is the key--if you are actively campaigning, the
drug is not worth the risk, IMHO. If you are just occasionally trail riding,
or managing broodmares and youngsters, it can be a great tool. The problem
seems to come with horses in serious endurance programs. I have not seen it
in any other horses.
