I think the more relevant question is:  how many miles are you riding?  I
was feeding the normal dose.  The signs of anemia never appeared until after
50 miles.  I still don't know if his anterior anteritis at 80 miles in the
Kananaskis in 1993 was related to Strongid or not.  I had taken him off
Strongid 10 days to 2 weeks before the ride to make sure we were complying
with FEI drug rules.

(BTW- no argument about Strongid making horses "easier to keep" as in
holding weight--but is it worth the risk?  Not for me)
