Re: Hates to be alone
I have an 18 y/o mare who did the same thing about 4 months ago. I
have went on short jaunts from my house, and when we went about 2
miles, I would stop unsaddle her and give her a treat. I would let
her graze for about ten minutes. I did this for about a month, 3
times a week, and it seems to have done the trick! I also do the same
thing on the return trip. It is a real pain in the butt, but it got
her over the "herd bound" syndrome. Give it a try.... I normally rode
10-15 miles when I went out.
Good Luck

his (and my) life easier on these training rides? >>
