Heart studies

Does anyone out there know of any past, present or ongoing studies of the
equine heart and stress?  Of heart anomalies vis-a-vis aerobic exercise?  Most
specifically, heart murmurs of the ventricular variety.  Is anyone interested
in studying this phenomenon, since it is so prevalent in the Arabian breed?
Would someone like the Morris Foundation be a likely funder of such a study?
