Re: Buying Long Distance
For a horse that was half way across the country I had the horse vet
checked by an endurance vet (Dane Fraizer) and had the whole thing video
taped. We decided not to buy the horse based on what the vet said.
For another horse I did see it (briefly) but could not be there for the
vet check. Unfortunately, there was only one vet in the area (very
rural) and he was not an endurance vet. He missed a lot of things that a
"good" vet would of picked up. I bought the horse and I love her but if
I had to do it over again I would not have bought her. Live and Learn.
A few hundred dollars spent on air fare is worth the horses weight in
gold for peace of mind.
