Bleeding from Sheath (Long)
Hi all,
My friends 9yr old Pervuian Paso has been having
problems with his sheath. He has been bleeding
from his sheath since March of this year. Blood
seems to build up and then let go, finishing with a
large clot. This happened in March and has been
happening every other month since except in Sept
when it happened 3 times. (approx 1-1 3/4 cups of
blood)
Three different vets have checked him doing internals
for kidneys, bladder and external exams were done.
2 ultra sounds, blood and urine samples. Everything
was normal. He was washed and rinsed out 4 times
since March.
Other then the bleeding he is completely normal.
He is on a daily wormer, shots up to date. He eats
good quality grass hay. A mixture of oats, vit, molasses,
canola oil and cobalt salt once a day.
His turnout has sand in it with grass growing through it.
No one here has had an answere to his problem and
am quite concerned this could be a something serious
later on.
Thanks for any help
Julia
