Right Angie, 
I don't normally agree with you but this time you did exhibited some
sensibilty in noting that a horse that trained at sea level in humid
areas finished well. Not talking down on Bill's riding ability but it is
obvious that Valerie improved Beau's racing ability.Bill never claimed
to be a great Jockey.......I raced against this horse and he was tough,
he beat me by three minutes in the 1st. Biltmore 100 which was won Steve
Rochek.
I was in the bookmaking business in the 50's after I quit riding.I had
five joints in Louisville,Ky.. At that time I was doing between 5-10
thousand a day so I had no trouble in booking the kind of bet that I am
offering.If I were doing that kind of business today I would not think
twice about giving 20 or 50 to 1 on the bet.I think at this time that
Vegas would offer 100 to 1.
