Swimming is the exercise of choice according to my horse/human chiropractor.
She says it stretches your spine out instead of compressing it, which running
and I suppose riding does. Personally I'll continue to run because I like it
and I don't have access to a pool. I just read a medical article that says
that arthritis in the knees may be caused by weak muscles around the knee
joint. Makes sense I guess- no support so the joint takes all the impact. Just
something to think about. -Amy
