This product works well for cure and prevention. You can use just plain
zinc oxide ointment for prevention too (cheaper). But, once you've got a
case of scratches going, the quickest easiest thing I've found it this
"Wound Balm". I've cleared about 3 cases on two different horses. Then my
friend Jas tried it on two of her yearling Akal Tekke's, they both cleared
up within 3 days.
Since my last case caused me to get pulled from a 100 miler, I've been very
religious about using the 'balm' or zinc oxide as preventative at every VC.
The balm is a totally natural substance that comes out of the ground at a
mineral spring. It's greasy stuff that smells like shoe polish, but is
chock full of colloidal minerals. Hence, it works like the Zinc, only
better because it's got other minerals too that the organizms in
"scratches" can't tollerate.
Good luck. I highly recommend this product for many types of equine first
aid and maintenance.

Ok - sounds like a good product to try.
Are you a dynamite dealer perchance?

Hi Steph,
I've played the scratches game a lot in the past. But, no more-- since I
found Dynamite 'Wound Balm'. Just swab it on, don't wrap it, don't even
need to wash it. Scratches are gone in 3 days or less.
