In ignorance , please explain the way these "gate holds" work. Does the
horse have pulse and respiration checked immediately and then be given a
time to relax?
It seems we do it the "old" way in that we get given a time as we cross the
line and also a time to be at the vet when we get pulse respiration
hydration etc checked. We are then given a time out. The vet in time is
usually 10 mins and then time out is a further 20 mins. Ifyou don't make
the vet check you are pulled immediately.
