Redmond Salt is MINED not processed. Just dug up and ground up.. its better
then the proceesed salts which are extracted from water by high heat..

it even tastes good.. i use it on food.. better then sea salt.

rushcreek minerals --same mined and ground ..ABC does add some stuff..
refer to their cataloge..

When I first put them on these two free choice.. they took up about 10 lbs
of salt and 5 lbs of the min mix.. in about a week.. that was for 6 horses..
now i use about 2 lbs of salt and 1 lb of min mix.. means they are now
BALANCED..

They get the correct minerals and salts from these as they need them.. since
the grasses and grains are defficient.. I also dont feed a mixed feed.. I mix
my own

I found rolled oats. rolled barley and can get rolled corn.. but i use craked
and whole corn.

I too note they take up the ABC stress mixes.. quite heavy at first--- but
now I use about 1 LB of BVC and 2 lb of A and about 1/5 T mix per week.. I
let them clean it up before I re-fill the feeders.

I base this on the fact that I dont give a shot gun vit all the time
so they take what they need to keep healthy..

They take the DETOX after a ride ,-- after i wormed with Ivermection..
..they ate about 2 lbs in a week.. GUESS what they were POISONED.. SO I
may just cut out the Ivermectin.. or only give one time in the winter..
I still use Stongid C.. I did stop it for a month to see if anything changed
..they are back on it now.. see no difference..

They take more Detox during the full moon.. I was told that has to do with
the parisite cycles ? .. but we dont have any.. kinda strange they dont touch
it for weeks then its gone.. and they ALL take it.. their noses are white..

I will keep feeding this stuff.. as long as they appear to need it.
