Well, our list manager, Stephanie is being way too modest! She won BC
this
weekend at the Rattlesnake Ridge 50 on her Orlov Cross. A friend of hers
rode her other horse. They were 2nd and 3rd of 46 starters. My horse,
Simon and I survived what could have been a nasty fall to finish 6th on
the
50. Another rider that fell wasn't so lucky and had to chase her horse
into camp only to pull later. But the real hard luck story was Mike
Bishop.
He got off his horse to pick up a knife that someone had dropped. The
horse bolted and took off. He was still searching for the horse when I
left on Sunday morning. Has anyone heard any news?


Ona Lawrence won the 75-miler and also BC. Dennis Sommers was 2nd, and
Janet Fredrickson 3rd.
