<< <<<<<< Isn't RideCamp wonderful? Great advice from those of us who have
been
there. Now I have a question. My greenie gelding pulled something up
high either in the chest or shoudler, right side. He was grade 2 at
trot for a day or two, then ok, just not as fluid. You can't see it but
I can tell. Four weeks later the opposing left hind has developed a
flare on the outside. Horse has been turned out for 4 weeks since
original lameness.(work and weather conflicts). Any sugestions on the
best treatment? Do I ride? Massage? I have never had high lamness
before. Please advise and thanks. >>>>>>>
I just wanted to say it sound's like a muscular problem that you horse has
been compensation for and now it has moved to it's rear.......Anyway, I feel
like a good walk ( unmounted ) can be of some benifit and IMHO massage is a
miracle drug ( if done properly ). Think about it, when humans are sore from
exercise it ALWAYS helps to have a massage, you will be able to tell if your
horse likes it by it's reactions!!!! Hope this helps!!!
