Keep in mind that stretching the head and neck down is not necessarily an
indication of a physical problem - but coupled with other indicators, it may
be. It's important that the horse have the suppleness through the topline
to do this. But carried in this way consistantly, esp. at the canter may
not require him to really develop the pushing and carrying power from the
hindquarters. Good riders who sit well and don't interfered with their
horse's back movement and horses which have some natural self carriage and
good movement can have very successful rides. I suspect that Tina's horse
has a totally elongated frame, which actually puts the horse in the desired
horizontal balance.
