helmuts are a personal choice best left up to the rider. i find
personally they are hot and i usually end up with a head ache. even
still i wear one most of the time. i figure if i break other parts of my
body i might limp or sit in a chair but i personally do not want have a
brain injury. having lived through the 70's i need all the brain cells i
have left.
i do agree that learning to fall properly is a big advantage. i sky
dived for a few years and part of the ground training was jumping off
picnic tables and learning roll safely when you hit the ground. like
anything else practise makes perfect.
