Oh what would a ride be without the middle of the night cries "there's a
horse loose!" As I snuggle deeper into my nice warm sleeping bag inside my
tent I think to myself "I don't have a horse." I forget that a pony looks
very similar to a horse especially to people who were asleep just seconds
before. So at the Pendleton ride in 90 I happily slept the night away as my
pony Meggie was running all over the Marine base and accosting
strangers. After paying the loose horse fees to the animal regulation people
in the morning and paying for that poor ladys windshield , the vets said
Meggie was okay if I still wanted to ride that day. We went on to finish
the 25. And then I went home and bought a rope with a latch on it that
Meggie couldn' open. I swear that pony grows thumbs at night....Jane
