Enjoyed your post, as usual Bob. It brought to mind something an acquaintance
said to me once. She was from a working ranch in Montana, raised there all
her life. She asked me what I did with my horses and I told her (at the time)
I rode them for pleasure. She looked at me incredulously and said, "I can't
imagine riding a horse for pleasure!" There wasn't much point in discussion
after that. Since that time I have entered the endurance world and no longer
ride for pleasure, I ride for the bliss! Yes - this is my bliss. My friend
still shakes her head, but she asked for a picture of me competing on my
horse. Maybe there's room for discussion after all . . .
