Some of us that know what we are doing will use limited distances for
training rides. It is a good opportunity to get a green horse out on the
trail, a green horse that we've taken months of riding to get to that level.
So please don't generalize all LD riders like that. LD has its place in the
sport.

Excuse ME!!!! Read my words..I am by NO means generalizing...I, too, use
these rides for training..Dear Lady, I have been here a LONG time!!! An AERC
member for 25 years!!!! over 6000 miles in competition!!! It is the
newcomers to the sport (not all..see I am NOT generalizing) who are the
problem...
