Did you read the post on FEI sanctioning of "marathons"? I am curious
what AERC's position will be on possibly sending a team to race at that
distance if post ride checks are mandated. Doesn't this directly conflict
with AERC's position on 25 milers as a conditioning, non racing distance.
How do you pick your best "marathon" distance horses when the qualifying
rides, which I assume would be limited distance, are not competitions where
speed is considered? Your best 50 mile horse may not be the best marathon
distance horse.
