I have a friend who breeds Buckskin/Dun QH's, the difference is the dorsal
stripe.
Buckskins do not have it, and a Dun does. I have registered my purebred
chestnut
Arabian with the ABRA as a red Dun because she has a dorsal stripe. I also
own a bay purebred gelding that has a dorsal stripe and has shoulder barring
and can be registered with ABRA as a Dun. Of course none of it means anything
, but my mare is double registered :)
