I bought every pad, every saddle, spent a fortune. I was at my wit's
end. Finally, I hosted a couple of clinics in South Carolina so Sharon
would fly to South Carolina and personally fit my horse. I spent more
money than the horse was worth.
Her saddle was the best fit. The horse occasionally was sore but it WAS
NOT the saddle. The horse retired to ride fence in Indiana and I, ever
the wiser, got a new horse.
My point is that there is something comforting about knowing the tree
under all that leather and sheepskin fits the horse. But there are some
horses, some circumstances, that no saddle will correct, ie. poor
confirmation, inadequate conditioning, hock problems, poor equitation
(unbalanced rider) horse travelling with high head hollow back, jigging.
I have almost turned in my trees over some of the nasty people who think
a saddle will fix their problem, altho I emphasize with them so much. I
try to be honest with them upfront as most of the Sharon Saare reps do,
right Teddy?
p.s. I have a Sports Saddle too, for my husband and his lopsided horse,
corrective shoeing and conditioning (dressage) are really helping.
He'll go back to his Saare saddle. I'm sure.
