Not sure if this was stated or discussed.. old issue
Sue;
does your research indicate there is a problem with animal fat vs grain-plant
fat feed to horses not designed to digest it??
I know Lew H in his book says to use the cheap processed stablized animal fat
and vita-flex has a high fat supplement based on animal fat.. it also has
ethyoxquin sp which i would not feed..
i cant see how the horse can properly digest it..
ABC- Jim Helfer suggested the system would sludge up after a period of
feeding anaimal fat.. jim does know alot about feed and supplements- use to
work for nasa in the food program for the space program..
i know this has been thumped on alot.. i reference recommendations from Sarah
Ralston- phd Ruttgers.. feed corn oil.
can we safely get the 15-20% fat level with animal fat?
i choose corn oil or rice bran or both
